Trip to Old Town Sac
Alright guys I promised you more info about the next college group meeting so here it is:
Forgive me if some of this is redundant from the previous post.
When: Saturday, September 25
If you live in the Paradise-Magalia area we will meet at Magalia Pines Baptist Church 14098 Skyway at 9:30am. Yes, that means you have to get up early even on a Saturday... no sleeping in. Sorry. We will carpool or whatever down to Old Town Sac and should arrive between 11:30 and noon, just in time for lunch.
During lunch at one of the 20+ restaurants there (I vote pizza) we will have a bible study and then begin to check out the place. Or we may have a picnic, we'll see. During this time we will probably pay a visit to the Train Museum and the Discovery Museum.
Chances are we may not get back till late evening or night so... get plenty of sleep.
What to bring:
A Bible
sweater
good walking shoes
a backpack if you want
admission money (museums)
and money for whatever you want to buy.
Childcare can be provided if needed as well.
Please, please, please! If you have any questions please call me. In fact, call me anyways because we need to know about rides and carpooling. My cell phone number is (530)-864-2151 or call Rebecca at 899-9654.
Here are some links for more info and admission prices:

New News, Rally, College Group Date Change
Hey Guys, What is up!
The rally on Saturday was sooo sweet! I loved having tea in a fishbowl and brownies on a football field. YUM! More later...
The College group date has changed from September 11, to Saturday September 25th. Those of us in the Paradise-Magalia area will meet at MPBC at 9:30am. Our event for the day is a day-trip to Old-Town Sac. We should get there between 11:30-12:00. We'll get some grub, have a bible study and then wander aimlessly through the streets. Actually there is more of an agenda to it but you'll get more of that later too.
more coming soon...

A Sneak Peek and a Preview
HEY!! IT'S ME!!!
I am back...
Camping was sooooooo sweet! I'll tell you guys more about that later.
And with that... here is a preveiw of what is to come at the rally...
of course I have to use scripture:
2Ti 2:1 You then, my child, be strengthened by the grace that is in Christ Jesus,
2Ti 2:2 and what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.
2Ti 2:3 Share in suffering as a good soldier of Christ Jesus.
2Ti 2:4 No soldier gets entangled in civilian pursuits, since his aim is to please the one who enlisted him.
2Ti 2:5 An athlete is not crowned unless he competes according to the rules.
2Ti 2:6 It is the hard-working farmer who ought to have the first share of the crops.
2Ti 2:7 Think over what I say, for the Lord will give you understanding in everything.
2Ti 2:8 Remember Jesus Christ, risen from the dead, the offspring of David, as preached in my gospel,
2Ti 2:9 for which I am suffering, bound with chains as a criminal. But the word of God is not bound!
2Ti 2:10 Therefore I endure everything for the sake of the elect, that they also may obtain the salvation that is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory.
2Ti 2:11 The saying is trustworthy, for: If we have died with him, we will also live with him;
2Ti 2:12 if we endure, we will also reign with him; if we deny him, he also will deny us;
2Ti 2:13 if we are faithless, he remains faithful-- for he cannot deny himself.
2Ti 2:14 Remind them of these things, and charge them before God not to quarrel about words, which does no good, but only ruins the hearers.
2Ti 2:15 Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth.
2Ti 2:16 But avoid irreverent babble, for it will lead people into more and more ungodliness,
2Ti 2:17 and their talk will spread like gangrene. Among them are Hymenaeus and Philetus,
2Ti 2:18 who have swerved from the truth, saying that the resurrection has already happened. They are upsetting the faith of some.
2Ti 2:19 But God's firm foundation stands, bearing this seal: "The Lord knows those who are his," and, "Let everyone who names the name of the Lord depart from iniquity."
2Ti 2:20 Now in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and silver but also of wood and clay, some for honorable use, some for dishonorable.
2Ti 2:21 Therefore, if anyone cleanses himself from what is dishonorable, he will be a vessel for honorable use, set apart as holy, useful to the master of the house, ready for every good work.
2Ti 2:22 So flee youthful passions and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, along with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart.
2Ti 2:23 Have nothing to do with foolish, ignorant controversies; you know that they breed quarrels.
2Ti 2:24 And the Lord's servant must not be quarrelsome but kind to everyone, able to teach, patiently enduring evil,
2Ti 2:25 correcting his opponents with gentleness. God may perhaps grant them repentance leading to a knowledge of the truth,
2Ti 2:26 and they may escape from the snare of the devil, after being captured by him to do his will.
As for the College Group, we are looking at doing something on Saturday September 11. More than likely we will be goiong to Old Town Sacramento. More to come...

A Word To the Wise
Hey guys... If You have the time, check out this online sermon from Calvary Chapel Chico's College Fellowship, Worship.Generation. It's pretty good, but it takes some time though.This is the verse of topic:
Col 4:2 Devote yourselves to prayer. Be alert when you pray with thanksgiving.
Col 4:3 At the same time also pray for us-that God would open before us a door for the word so that we may tell the secret about Christ, for which I have been imprisoned.
Col 4:4 May I reveal it as clearly as I should!
Col 4:5 Behave wisely toward outsiders, making the best use of your time.
Col 4:6 Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer everyone.
All you have to do is click the title. If it doesn't work, You can cut and paste the following link and then simply look for the verse above.

Whoa!!
Today's topic is BIG!!!
Isa 6:1 In the year that King Uzziah died I saw the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up; and the train of his robe filled the temple.
Isa 6:2 Above him stood the seraphim. Each had six wings: with two he covered his face, and with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew.
Isa 6:3 And one called to another and said: "Holy, holy, Holy is the LORD of hosts; the whole earth is full of his glory!" Isa 6:4 And the foundations of the thresholds shook at the voice of him who called, and the house was filled with smoke.
Isa 6:5 And I said: "Woe is me! For I am lost; for I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips; for my eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts!"
Rev 1:4 From John to the seven churches in Asia. May grace and peace be yours from the one who is, who was, and who is coming, from the seven spirits who are in front of his throne,
Rev 1:5 and from Jesus Christ, the witness, the faithful one, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler over the kings of the earth. To the one who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood
Rev 1:6 and has made us a kingdom, priests for his God and Father, be glory and power forever and ever! Amen.
Rev 1:7 Look! He is coming in the clouds. Every eye will see him, even those who pierced him, and all the tribes of the earth will mourn because of him. So be it! Amen.
Rev 1:8 "I am the Alpha and the Omega," declares the Lord God, the one who is, who was, and who is coming, the Almighty.
How Great Thou Art
O Lord, my God,
When I in awesome wonder;
Consider all the worlds Thy hands have made.
I see the stars, I hear the rolling thunder, Thy power throughout the universe displayed.
Then sings my soul, my Savior God to Thee; How great Thou art! How great Thou art! Then sings my soul, my Savior God to Thee; How great Thou art! How great Thou art!
When through the woods and forest glades I wander;
And hear the birds sing sweetly in the trees;
When I look down from lofty mountain grandeur,
And hear the brook and feel the gentle breeze.
And when I think of God, His Son not sparing;
Sent Him to die, I scarce can take it in,
That on the cross, my burden gladly bearing;
He bled and died to take away my sin.
When Christ shall come, with shout of acclamation;
And take me home, what joy shall fill my heart!
Then I shall bow, in humble adoration,
And there proclaim, my God, how great Thou art!
Alright... I Love You Guys
